Video Editing and Post-Production

Editing is a central part of my professional background. I can work with footage I produce or material supplied by another producer, organization or production team.

My work has taken me throughout Michigan, documenting the people, places, industries, communities and natural landscapes that give the state its identity. I am best known for my work as a host, producer, videographer and editor for the Emmy Award-winning PBS series Destination Michigan.

For more than a decade, I helped create Destination Michigan, a PBS travel and documentary series exploring the communities, landscapes, businesses, artists and traditions found throughout the state.

My responsibilities included story development, producing, field videography, photography, interviewing, hosting, editing and post-production. The series required working independently in the field, adapting to unfamiliar locations and finding a compelling visual approach to a wide variety of subjects.

These days, I’m looking to work independently with organizations, producers, publications and creative partners who need experienced visual production without the overhead of a large agency or production company.
